The romance novel THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES, written by bestselling author and British Book Award nominee Cecilia Ahern (»P.S. I Love You«, »Love, Rosie«), has been realized in 2017 in Oxford and London. Simon Nye, best known for the hit sitcom »Men Behaving Badly«, and Damian Wayling, known for the hugely successful period drama series »Call The Midwife« and »Garrow’s Law«, were penning the screenplay. Director Amit Gupta has proven his extraordinary talent for Romantic Comedies with »One Crazy Thing«. Tamzin Merchant (»The Tudors«, »Salem«, »Supergirls«) und Andreas Pietschmann (»We love life«, »Ostfriesen Killer«, »Belle & Sebastian«) are playing the leading parts.

Gates new projects are characterized by literature and arts: A MAN AND HIS DOG, an »idyll« by Thomas Mann, was first published in 1916 and translated into English in 1923. A MAN AND HIS DOG was heralded for its simple telling of how a dog became a priceless companion, an animal who brought meaning to the author's life. With KÄTHE KOLLWITZ, Gate is developing a portrait of the famous artist known for her cycles »The Weavers« and »The Peasant War«. Her posthumously published »Secreta« drawings show her complex and passionate personality that will be a central topic oft he film.
